Founded in 2015 by Elaine René-Weissman, Esther Margulies, and Molly Renda, LA River Arts identifies the Los Angeles River as a significant cultural marker of the Los Angeles region. Over the past twelve years, LARA has worked with more than 150 artists, curators, performers, and musicians to present artworks focused on the river and its surrounds.
