Currently under construction, this single-story house in the community of Altadena, in Los Angeles County, references Spanish Revival-style courtyards. The interiors take greater liberties: a bright color palette and an easy spatial flow. A screened-in porch doubles the size of the living room and leads to a back garden. Raised garden beds, outdoor social spaces, and a discretely placed two-story ADU complete the site.
